Representative is responsible for generating sales of roofing
products and services to residential and commercial clients. This
role involves identifying new business opportunities, meeting with
potential customers, conducting site evaluations, and providing
accurate quotes for roofing projects. The representative will work
closely with both the operations and production teams to ensure
customer satisfaction and the smooth execution of roofing projects.
Requirements: Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and
research potential clients in the local and surrounding areas.
Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of leads and sales
opportunities. Utilize various lead generation tools such as
referrals, cold calling, online platforms, and networking events to
increase business. Client Consultations and Needs Assessment: Meet
with prospective clients to discuss their roofing needs, both for
residential and commercial properties. Conduct site visits to
assess roof condition, determine the scope of work, and identify
any additional services required. Provide professional
recommendations based on clients' needs, budget, and project scope.
Proposal Preparation and Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver
detailed roofing proposals and quotes, including cost breakdowns,
project timelines, and materials. Present and explain various
roofing solutions, products, and warranties to clients in an
easy-to-understand manner. Address client concerns and questions
about products, services, and project timelines. Closing Sales:
Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with clients to close
sales. Follow up with leads and clients to ensure timely closure of
sales. Maintain relationships with past clients to encourage repeat
business and referrals. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain
regular communication with clients during the sales process and
after installation. Address and resolve any post-sale issues,
complaints, or inquiries promptly. Provide excellent customer
service to enhance the company's reputation and customer
satisfaction. Collaboration with Operations Team: Work closely with
the project management and operations teams to ensure smooth
handover of projects from sales to installation. Help ensure
projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer
specifications. Reporting and Documentation: Track and report on
sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quotes, proposals,
contracts, and client communications. Utilize CRM software to
manage customer data and sales pipeline. Market Research: Stay up
to date with roofing industry trends, product innovations, and
competitors. Gather market intelligence to help position the
company’s offerings more effectively. Qualifications : Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. A college degree in
business, construction management, or a related field is a plus.
(preferred). Relevant certifications in roofing or construction
(e.g., OSHA, Certified Roofing Professional) are a plus.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
Proven experience managing large-scale roofing projects, production
teams, and multiple job sites. Strong understanding of roofing
materials, systems, and installation processes. Skills &
Competencies: Excellent communication, interpersonal and
negotiation skills. Strong work ethic and motivation to meet and
exceed sales targets. Strong project management skills, with the
ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. In-depth
knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best
practices in roofing production. Ability to work collaboratively
with other departments and stakeholders to achieve company
Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, Salesforce
and general computer skills. Knowledge of roofing materials,
services, and industry best practices is a plus. Physical
Requirements : Ability to visit job sites, occasionally requiring
walking, standing, or climbing to inspect roofing work or oversee
operations. Occasional travel may be required for site visits,
client meetings, or industry events. A valid driver’s license and
reliable transportation. Ability to work flexible hours, including
evenings and weekends if necessary
